Little known in Britain, the Alsace region has a wealth of interest - from beautiful scenery to fascinating medieval towns and cities, and a superb regional cuisine. This tour is based in the delightful town of Obernai about 30km south-west of Strasbourg, ideal for exploring this historic and beautiful region.
Highlights include the beautiful city of Strasbourg, which boasts a stunning Cathedral, atmospheric “Petit France” district and a wealth of sights. Elsewhere we visit the wine town of Riquewihr, the quintessentially Alsace town of Colmar and venture into neighbouring Germany to visit the Black Forest and Freiburg, the spa town of Baden-Baden and Hunspach.
For 2012 - in response to feedback from many customers - we have added a 6 night/7day option on selected dates. This leaves a full day in the middle of the tour to explore the delightful town of Obernai.
